Cheers for GESIA Award and Pre-orders at NSIT

We have been working quite relentlessly for past one year to get precise results of our codings and testings. Today, I am immensely proud to share with you all that all our diligence and labour has paid off.

GESIA Annual Awards

Firstly, we received the Finalist Award, being the Best Startup in the ICT Category at 9th GESIA Annual Awards, held at YMCA International Center Ahmedabad on 29th September, 2016. Gujarat Electronics and Software Industries Association (GESIA) is a non-profit organisation that aims to nurture, foster and track the ICT Industry of Gujarat and provide them a window to the world.

We were also given the opportunity to showcase our technology at National Summit of Innovation and Technology (NSIT) held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar between 30th September to 1st October, 2016. It was organised by Government of Gujarat as a pre-vibrant Gujarat Global Summit event and had many esteemed dignitaries giving talks on various topics linked to start-ups.

It was just the beginning of the day when Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Vijay Rupani visited the kiosk of KarConnect at Exhibition Hall No 1. We gave him a quick overview about the product and how it can transform the current traffic scenario. Shri Rupani, diligently heard our brief, praised the efforts of the team and gave us best wishes for our future endeavours.

There was a great crowd at our kiosk whole day. Right from students to delegates and exhibitors to govt officials all wanted to know how a small device can be the solution to safer rides. Later in the day, Mr Pratik Bhansali gave a wonderful presentation on KarConnect to the public and dignitaries present at the conference hall of NSIT.

Shri Dhananjay Dwivedi (IAS), Secretary, DST, Govt of Gujarat being a farsighted man, gave KarConnect some valuable suggestions on how efficiently the smart car technology can be implemented for the better of the public at large.

Day 2 at NSIT

It started with our first Pre-order. While we were explaining about our product and its benefits to few people, a Govt Officer came forward and said he would like to buy the product. This was just the beginning of our most pleasing day as we went on to take many more pre-orders that day.

We also organised few quizzes for the students that came to visit the kiosk and gave the winners T-shirts as a gesture of appreciation. It was astounding that a girl knew more about automobiles than the young boys, so we went on to gift her the special T-shirt with KarConnet logo on it.

Ketan was given an opportunity to facilitate one of the key speakers at the summit, Mr. Kishor Patil, CEO, KPIT Technologies who gave a talk on Automating the Automobile.

Now with pre-orders coming, we have gone a step ahead. This has not just given me a great inspiration but a responsibility to stand against the expectations of all those who have trusted us.

Once again I dedicate these two milestones to my whole team at KarConnect.
